FreeUpper Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use FreeUpper.

If the law in your country or region requires a higher minimum age or parental or guardian consent, you must meet that requirement.

By using FreeUpper, you confirm that you meet the applicable eligibility requirements.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for:

FreeUpper supports Google sign-in. Your use of Google authentication is also subject to the applicable Google terms and policies.

You must not impersonate another person, create accounts through fraudulent means, or misrepresent your identity in a way that violates these Terms or applicable law.

We may restrict or suspend accounts where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate abuse, or enforce these Terms.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use FreeUpper lawfully and respectfully.

You must not:

You may report content or behavior that you believe violates these Terms through any reporting feature made available in FreeUpper or by contacting us.

4. User Content and Ownership

You retain ownership of content you create, to the extent you hold the applicable rights.

When you upload, post, or otherwise submit content to FreeUpper, you grant FreeUpper a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt for technical formatting, display, and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, secure, and provide the service and the features you use.

This license is limited to those service-related purposes and lasts for as long as reasonably necessary, subject to applicable law, backup retention, and any rights or obligations that survive deletion.

You confirm that you have the rights and permissions necessary to submit your content and to grant this license.

You must not upload content that infringes another person’s copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights.

5. Public Posts, Messages, and Interactions

FreeUpper may offer public posts, profiles, videos, comments, direct messages, and other social features.

You are responsible for deciding what you share and with whom.

Content made available publicly may be viewed, copied, saved, or redistributed by other users. Deleting a post does not guarantee the removal of copies already made by others.

You must use messaging and communication features lawfully and must not use them for harassment, spam, threats, fraud, or other prohibited conduct.

Unless FreeUpper explicitly states otherwise, you must not assume that messages are end-to-end encrypted or that content can be seen only by its intended recipient under every circumstance.

6. Marketplace and Transactions

FreeUpper may allow users to publish marketplace listings or interact about goods and services.

Unless a specific transaction feature expressly states otherwise, FreeUpper is a platform for facilitating user interactions and is not automatically the seller, buyer, payment processor, or guarantor of transactions between users.

Users are responsible for:

Do not assume that a listing, seller, buyer, or offer has been independently verified by FreeUpper unless we explicitly indicate that verification has occurred.

FreeUpper is not responsible for disputes between users except to the extent required by applicable law or expressly stated in a separate agreement.

7. Moderation and Account Enforcement

We may review reports and investigate suspected violations.

Where reasonably necessary and permitted by law, we may remove or restrict content, limit features, suspend accounts, or terminate access to FreeUpper to protect users, enforce these Terms, comply with legal obligations, or respond to abuse.

Where appropriate and legally permitted, we may provide notice and an opportunity to appeal.

You must not attempt to evade a suspension or termination by creating replacement accounts or using another person’s account.

8. Intellectual Property

FreeUpper’s name, branding, logos, website design, software, and other materials owned by FreeUpper are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Except as expressly permitted by law or authorized by FreeUpper, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit FreeUpper-owned materials.

This section does not transfer ownership of your own content to FreeUpper.

If you believe content on FreeUpper infringes your intellectual property rights, contact oluwaseyistarr@gmail.com with enough information for us to assess your report.

9. Third-Party Services

FreeUpper may depend on or integrate with third-party services, including Google, Supabase, Cloudinary, Vercel, and other providers.

Third-party services may have separate terms, privacy policies, availability limits, and technical requirements. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms.

We are not responsible for independent third-party services to the extent permitted by applicable law.

10. Availability and Changes to FreeUpper

We aim to provide a useful and reliable service, but we do not guarantee that FreeUpper will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device.

We may update, add, restrict, suspend, or discontinue features as the service evolves, subject to applicable law and any separate commitments we make to you.

We may perform maintenance or experience outages, data delivery failures, or other technical problems.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a consumer right or other legal protection that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Account Suspension, Termination, and Deletion

You may stop using FreeUpper at any time.

You may request account deletion by contacting oluwaseyistarr@gmail.com or by using an account deletion feature if one is provided in the application.

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary for serious or repeated violations, security risks, unlawful activity, or other grounds permitted by law.

Following account deletion or termination, some information may remain temporarily in backups or be retained where required for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or other lawful purposes.

The sections concerning intellectual property, applicable legal obligations, disputes, and any other provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply as permitted by law.

12. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, FreeUpper is provided on an “as available” basis without guarantees that the service will always meet every user’s requirements.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, legality, or quality of content posted by other users. Users are responsible for their own content, conduct, and transactions.

To the extent permitted by law, FreeUpper will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from your use of the service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law, including any mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to FreeUpper, our practices, or legal requirements.

We will update the “Last updated” date when revised Terms are published. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before applying material changes.

Your continued use of FreeUpper after updated Terms take effect means you accept the changes to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, stop using the service.

14. Applicable Law

These Terms are subject to applicable laws and any mandatory legal protections that apply to you.

Nothing in this section removes rights that you may have under consumer protection or other laws that cannot lawfully be waived.
